Case Spotlight CS-0003 – The Unsolved Murder of Rasheem Carter
25-year-old Rasheem Carter, a young Black man from Fayette, Mississippi, whose final days raise serious questions about safety, race, and the response of authorities. Rasheem reached out for help from local authorities multiple times as well as reaching out to his mother the day before and the day of his disappearance. It would be a month before Rasheem was found dead, but there are still no answers to what caused his disappearance and death.
This is the last image of Rasheem from the wildlife cam on private property. This image is what led law enforcement to Rasheem’s remains a month after he disappeared. In this week’s episode, we discuss this image and the other known circumstances surrounding Rasheem’s disappearance and ultimately, his death.
It has been over three years since Rasheem went missing and his remains were found, and there are still no answers to the questions surrounding his disappearance and his death.
